A parade open to all
It’s the moment when all cultural communities represented at the AfroMonde Festival, including men, women, young people, and elders, dressed in their magnificent traditional costumes and other cultural attire, are invited to kick off a festive march in the Old Port of Montreal.
This year, an exciting opportunity awaits: the chance to win $2000 by showcasing your culture at the Reminiscence Carnival! Additionally, a prize of $200 will be awarded to the person with the best costume.
Participation Conditions:
Step 1: Register your group via the carnival participant registration form.
Step 2: Share a presentation video of your group on social media, tag the AfroMonde Festival in your post, and use the hashtag #carnavalafromonde2024.
Step 3: Invite your friends to like and share your post. Engagement level is a selection criterion for the jury to participate in the final on September 15, 2024.
Step 4: Send proof of your publication by email to carnavaliers@afromonde.ca.
